IRUNUU means the only one in Wayuunaiki.
And that’s exactly what we are: a bridge between worlds, a living tribute to an ancestral culture that resists and flourishes.
Our story didn’t begin in a workshop or with a business plan.
It began in the heart — in the desire to honor the memory, land, and soul of a community that has spent centuries weaving symbols that don’t just decorate, but tell stories.
Inspired by the deep beauty of Wayuu culture, we were born with a clear purpose: to create pieces that are unique, authentic, and fair.
Each IRUNUU mochila is a work of art, handwoven by Wayuu artisans in La Guajira, Colombia. Wise women who don’t follow written patterns, but bring to thread the stories held in memory: paths, stars, animals, visions.
Here, there’s no mass production.
No rush.
No exploitation.
At IRUNUU, time is sacred — just like every hand that weaves.
Our relationship with the artisans is direct, horizontal, and respectful.
They are not suppliers; they are our teachers.
Our role is to support, give visibility, and protect their legacy.
